They use fuel based generators and fuel and flame based lighting. Users are subject to world market price fluctuations, pollution, high costs, and a poverty premium from a lack of access to competing technologies.

dissigno Tanzania Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of dissigno and runs operations in Tanzania. Currently the Tanzanian team is focused on implementing the lighting and power project with the World Bank. But the team is also developing other projects which include power for schools, medical clinics, and community based enterprises for the energy poor.
